Esperance Civic Centre

  • Client: Shire of Esperance
  • Venue: Esperance Civic Centre
  • Project: Refresh Over-stage rigging and Stage Lighting

The Shire Of Esperance became aware of issue with the rigging over-stage at ECC which had safety issue and was 30+ years old. The Stage Lighting power distribution and control infrastructure was also original. Whilst maintenance had been kept up to date, little had been done to keep the venue up with touring requirements. Purchases of LED luminaires were poorly supported.

Based on a vendor quote, a budget was set aside for a refresh. When ready to proceed, due to the size of the expenditure, tenders had to be called. The Shire felt unconfident with the vendor offer and unable to properly specify the replacement. They put out a call to the CircuitWest (WA venue operators association) network for other vendors.

Spirited Thinking offered a list of vendors.
